For centuries, Ghazni has stood as one of the most vibrant centers of civilization, art, and Islamic scholarship in the region. From its golden age under the Ghaznavid Empire to its enduring legacy as a cultural crossroad, Ghazni's history is deeply intertwined with the development of science, literature, and administrative traditions. Yet, preserving, understanding, and building upon this rich heritage requires structured access to the extensive research, historical records, and academic literature written about the region.
This comprehensive bibliography is published under the auspices of the Shahryar Foundation, part of an ongoing initiative to bridge the gap between Ghaznavians inside Afghanistan and the global diaspora. The Foundation is dedicated not merely to documenting history, but to fostering unity, empowering local capacities, and supporting the social, cultural, and economic renewal of Ghazni.

غزنی در طول سدههای متمادی یکی از درخشانترین کانونهای تمدنی، هنر و دانش در منطقه بوده است. از عصر طلایی امپراتوری غزنویان گرفته تا نقشآفرینیهای پایدار آن به عنوان چهارراه فرهنگی، تاریخ این دیار با شکوفایی علم، ادبیات و سنتهای مدیریتی پیوندی ناگسستنی دارد. با این حال، حفظ، شناخت و توسعه این میراث گرانبها نیازمند دسترسی منظم به منابع تحقیقی، اسناد تاریخی و پژوهشهای علمی انجامشده پیرامون این خطه است.
این کتابشناسی جامع به همت بنیاد شهریار و در راستای ابتکار بزرگ «غزنوی به غزنوی» (پل ارتباط میان غزنویان داخل و خارج از کشور) تهیه و تدوین گردیده است. بنیاد شهریار تنها به دنبال مستندسازی تاریخ نیست، بلکه تلاش میکند تا با گردآوری منابع فکری و ایجاد همگرایی، زمینه تقویت بنیههای علمی، فرهنگی و اجتماعی جامعه غزنویان را فراهم سازد.
